Baccarat
Baccarat is very simple to play. The only decisions the player has to make during the game before each hand is dealt is the placement of the "Bet" and the amount of the Bet before clicking "Deal". The object of the game is to bet on the hand that will finish with a value of 9 or as close to it as possible.
Four cards are dealt, the first and third to the Player's hand, the second and fourth to the Banker's hand.
If either hand totals 8 or 9, each of these numbers is called a "Natural", then no additional cards are dealt.
When both hands have equal totals, a "Tie" is declared.
Card values
Aces count as one.
2 through 9 count as face value.
10s and Pictures count as zero.
| Example | |
| 9+7=16 | Hand counts 6 |
| 5+5+5=15 | Hand counts 5 |
| 10+9=19 | Hand is a "Natural" 9 |
| King+Ace+5=16 | Hand counts 6 |
Depending on the points accumulated by each hand after the initial draw, the Dealer may need to deal a third card to the Player's hand and then, if necessary, to the Banker's hand. No more than one additional card per hand may be dealt. The drawing of the third card is governed by fixed third card rules.

The Third Card
Player's third-card-rule
- If either the player or the bank have a total of 8 or 9 on the first two cards no further cards are drawn. The resulting hand is called a natural and the hand is over.
- If the player's total is less than or equal to 5 the player's hand draws a third card.
- If the player does not draw a third card, then the bank's hand stands on 6 or more and takes a third card on a total of 5 or less. If the player does take a third card then the Bank's third-card-rule below will determine if the bank takes a third card.
Bank's third-card rule
- If the bank's total is 2 or less then bank draws a card, regardless of what the players third card is.
- If the banks total is 3 then the bank draws a third card unless the players third card was an 8.
- If the banks total is 4 then the bank draws a third card unless the players third card was a 0, 1, 8, or 9.
- If the banks total is 5 then the bank draws a third card if the players third card was 4, 5, 6, or 7.
- If the banks total is 6 then the bank draws a third card if the players third card was a 6 or 7.
- If the banks total is 7 then the bank stands.
Payouts
- Player's winning hand wagers are paid 1 to 1. Example: if you bet €5 on the Player hand, and the Player hand was closer to 9 than the Banker hand, you will get your €5 bet back, plus another €5.
- Banker's winning hand wagers are paid 1 to 1. The House charges a 5% commission (vigorish) on all winning Bank wagers. The commission is deducted immediately upon payment of the winnings. Example: if you bet €5 on the Banker hand, and the Banker hand was closer to 9 than the Player hand, you will get your €5 bet back, plus another €4.75 (€5 minus €0.25).
- If Player's bets are on player or banker to win and the result is a tie, bets are pushed.
- Tie bet winning wagers are paid 8 to 1. Example: if you bet €5 on the Tie hand, and Banker and Player have the same hand count, you will get your €5 bet back, plus another €40.
