American Blackjack
Blackjack is a simple game; you will be dealt with 2 cards. Players bet against the house. The object of the game is to have a total value of cards in your hand closer to 21 (without exceeding 21) than the dealer.
All face cards - Jacks, Kings and Queens have a value of 10.
Aces can have a value of either 1 or 11 where 11 is known as the "soft" number.
You may draw up to nine additional cards to make a hand of eleven cards, provided the value of your hand does not exceed 21.
Hitting "Blackjack" always beats any other hand with a value of 21 or less.
Multiple hands are available and cards will be dealt to hands where a bet has been placed.
Place your bets by selecting any of the available "chip" denominations and click the bet box on the table to add the selected chips, right click the bet box to remove chips from the bet.
When you have finished placing your bets, click the "Deal" button to be dealt with 2 cards for each hand position where you placed a bet.
You can take "Insurance" if the Dealer's first card is an Ace.
Note that on each new hand dealt, your bets will be cleared. You can click the "Rebet" button to restore all your bets from your previous hand. If you wish to change your bet, you may increase or decrease the bets as explained above. Use the "Clear" button to remove all bets from the table. Once the cards have been dealt, you can play your hands with the "Hit" and "Stand" game control buttons which will appear at the bottom of the table.
Note that if the total value of your hand exceeds 21, then the hand is lost / "bust".
If you are dealt with a pair of cards with the same value, you may "Split" the hand according to the rules of the table.
You will also be given the option to "Double Down", betting that your hand will beat the Dealer's.
Note that the dealer does not have to stand on a "Soft 17".
Note that in American blackjack the dealer is dealt 2 cards, where the first is face up and the second face down.
